ABOUT JATROPHA
Jatropha curcas is a perennial, oil-seed bearing shrub originating from Central America and which has been introduced to other tropical regions in Africa and Asia.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
Jatropha has a very positive impact on the environment through effective reduction of greenhouse gases (GHG). Firstly, since Jatropha oil is poisonous and grows well in hot and arid regions and marginal soils with low nutrient content, it does not compete with food crops for land and water.

SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT
The development is completely in line with Mozambique’s Biofuel Sustainability Framework. We are committed to a food security programme, setting up of appropriate housing for employees, built schools, medical support posts and sports facilities.
